SCORE PRESENTS:
Why should I consider having contracts with suppliers and clients?
Knowingly and unknowingly, existing businesses and aspiring entrepreneurs frequently run into legal issues that take up valuable time, constrain growth and hurt profitability, putting their business at risk.
Writing and understanding business contracts are key issues facing business owners in an increasingly competitive business environment.
James Poznak will take you through the legal issues in contract law and the construction of good business contracts.
Back by popular demand, James will devote the second half of the two hour session to a Q&A called "Stump the Lawyer", giving you the opportunity to ask questions on legal topics that are important to you as a business owner.
Attorney James L. Poznak has been providing legal services to business owners since 1982. Jim has a Master of Laws in Taxation degree along with his law degree. Jim particularly enjoys and excels at providing comprehensive, creative, practical assistance for his clients with their business contracts, and with a large variety of their many other legal matters. Jim has been a SCORE lecturer and key resource since 1986, and he is a past president and past board member of the Oak Brook Chamber of Commerce. Since 1992, Jim has received the highest annual peer review rating from his fellow attorneys, including a Top Chicago Lawyer rating since 2013.
