DuPagePads is Ending Homelessness One Step at a Time
Registration Now Open for 11th Annual Run 4 Home- 10K & 5K Run, 5K Walk
WHEATON, ILLINOIS – DuPagePads is calling all walkers and runners, individuals and families to the 11th Annual Run 4 Home on Saturday, September 19, 2015 at 8am, beginning at 703 West Liberty in Wheaton. This 10K and 5K CARA approved course will appeal to serious runners, casual joggers and walkers.
Funds raised at this event will help provide DuPagePads’ solution to end homelessness: housing coupled with support services and employment which leads to improved health and economic sustainability. DuPagePads believes everyone should have a place to call “home”. Open 365 days a year, the agency has grown to be the largest provider of services to those who are homeless in the community. Carol Simler, President & CEO of DuPagePads, said “Last year, we served 1,360 individuals including 241 children in 144 families. We know we have the solution and we rely on events like this and generous individuals and organizations to help us as we End Homelessness One Step at a Time!”
The entire community is invited to come and support DuPagePads mission to end homelessness. Individual runners, families, groups of friends, companies, clubs and congregations are all encouraged to be a part of the FUNdraiser! Following the race, everyone is invited to stay for music, refreshments and prizes including King of the Hill and largest group in attendance. Online registration is available at www.padsrun.org.
