GPS Presents Strategies to Be the Parent You Want to Be

Psychologist Ferney Ramirez will share parenting strategies to help students develop responsibility and make positive choices about their future. Parents, guardian and caregivers will gain a better understanding of how to build a strong relationship with their child, discover techniques to enhance communication while providing age-appropriate structure. Ramirez will also give tips on creating an environment to foster self-esteem and school success.

Ramírez is the author of 10 mental health publications and president of the Family First Organization. He coordinates programs for families in Chicago and numerous Illinois school districts.
