Sunday, Sept. 25 the Glen Ellyn Historical Society presents Tavern Day. The celebration begins at 1:00 PM and concludes at 4:00 PM. Stacy’s Entire Historic Corner is transformed into an interactive Pioneer Experience. The event is located at 800 N. Main Street and life in 1840’s is the theme. Included in this experience are live farm animals, craft-making, strolling musicians, a blacksmith, a rope maker, candle making, corn-husk doll creating, story telling, the life of bees, and many more pioneer activities that families worked together to accomplish. Stacy’s Tavern Museum is open for tours as well. Admission is $8 Adults, $6 GEHS Members, $4 Children 3-17, $3 GEHS Members Children, Children under 3 are free. Tickets are available at Stacy’s Corner Store or buy at the gate on Tavern Day. Call 630-469-1867.
