Tuesday, July 14 at 7:30 PM, the Glen Ellyn Historical Society presents Marshall Krolick, America`s foremost authority on the 8th Illinois Cavalry, presenting a program on the subject of Marcellus Jones and the 8th Illinois Cavalry.

Jones fired the first shot at Gettysburg during the Civil War and his hometown was Danby which is now Glen Ellyn.

A $5 tickets will get each person an education about Civil War History and a story to share with relatives and friends about the amazing story from Glen Ellyn`s historic past.
